High Park/Roncesvalles

My favourite neighbourhood in the entire city – although I may be biased!  Situated beside Toronto’s largest park, High Park/Roncesvalles (“Roncy”) is a highly desirable,  bustling family-oriented neighbourhood.  Homes in the area are rich with character and charm, many built in the early 1900’s.  A majority of the homes in the neighbourhood are detached or semi-detached single family homes with some multi family properties scattered throughout.  There are several low rise condominiums, apartments and lofts scattered throughout the neighbourhood, with some new developments at Howard Park & Roncesvalles.  Roncesvalles Ave. is loaded with mostly locally owned retail shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and a weekly farmer’s market, making it a great spot for an afternoon stroll.  To the south, you have access to the Martin Goodman trails along the lake.  High Park/Roncesvalles is also home to some of Toronto’s best schools and is a very walkable neighbourhood , yet also very accessible to TTC (streetcar and subway) and the UP Express giving direct access to both Pearson International Airport and Union Station.
